October Reflection!!!

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”   He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation. [Luke 11: 1 – 4] Hi beautiful daughters of God, As we know, this month is our month of “ PRAYER ”.   As we are a group of praying ladies, this month is especially important to us and so we have a number of bullet points on different aspects of prayer to help us contemplate the idea of prayer and make any necessary changes to our prayer life.   Some of the sentences will challenge us to examine our lives, our previous ideas and conceptions, our families and our homes.   Pray for the light of the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what needs to be changed in your prayer lif...

October Prayer Session!

Hi beautiful daughters of God, First off, I’ll like to sincerely apologise.   I realise it has been a long while since we posted anything on here.  We're juggling many balls at the same time and sometimes, it can seem easier to just let a ball or two fall.  We  are having a couple of administrative problems but by the grace of God, all will be well! J Our theme for this month is “ Prayer ” !   There are so many references made to prayer in the New Testament but what I want us to meditate on for now is Luke 11:1 – 4 .   Jesus had just finished praying in a certain place and when He was done, one of His disciples asked Him to teach them to pray and He taught them the “Our Father”. Prayer is simply the raising up of our minds and hearts to God by thinking of Him, by adoring, praising and thanking Him and by begging Him of all blessings for our soul and our body. Jesus gave many “rules” for prayers…   Don’t pray at the top of your voices to garner atte...

Getting to know you...

Hi ladies! Welcome to our month of L.O.V.E!!! One of the most powerful emotions and attributes in the world! Love summarises the instructions of God to us here on earth. We are to LOVE the Lord our God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. Also, you shall love your neighbour as yourself (Mark 12:30 - 31 ). God is so particular about the way we love Him and the way we love one another. The way we show love is also an important aspect that should be given attention.. We acknowledge that it is difficult to LOVE who you do not know. Even the bible accedes to the fact that it is not practical to say that you love God that you do not see when you cannot love your brother (or sister) that you see! (1John 4:20) We have been praying for and with one another as sisters for over a year and many of us do not really know who we are agreeing with in prayer, apart from their names (and prayer points! :-) To rectify this, we would like to ...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Hey Ladies, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Welcome to 2011 - our prayer for you this year is that it will be your best year yet in Jesus' Name, Amen! 2011 is Our Year of Unlimited Blessings and the text for the year is Deuteronomy 28: 1 - 13. January is our month of New Beginnings!!! Two Bible passages we are holding onto this month are: -- Revelation 21: 4 & 5 - And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.  Then He who sat on the throne said "Behold, I make all things new."  And He said to me. "Write, for these words are true and faithful." -- Isaiah 43: 19 - "Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Do you not perceive it?  I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." We at LMPS are so excited because we believe that this year, by God's grace, God is taking us to a differ...
