2 Days After January 2013 LMPS... Testimonies!!!

Ladies, I believe this year is going to be a great one!!! Two days after and the testimonies are rolling in!  All praise and glory and honour and adoration be to our AMAZING GOD!!! I just want to share this testimony from one of our sisters - Brenda Okocha-Odibo - with us to encourage us that indeed our God is a faithful God and He answers prayers! Testimony: "My sisters thank God I participated in the Friday prayers. God just delivered me and hubby from what would have been a terrible fire incident. I and hubby went to get fuel and unfortunately the pump instead of dispensing fuel went up in flames. How I ran out of the car with my hubby is indeed a miracle! Nothing happened to us and the car. It is barely 2 days and miracles have started happening. Help me thank God. He is indeed a faithful God. Brenda Okocha-Odibo!" I also want to share another testimony from another of our sisters - Nkeiru Okoye.  Our GOD is indeed a faithful GOD!!!  We rejoice wi...

The Most Holy Name Of JESUS!!!

What’s in a Name? My name is Bodam, which means “ Unique Beauty” Ayo’s full name is Ayoola which means “ Joy of/derived from wealth/a formidable position” Two names, two different meanings, no particular “significance” right? Wrong! So, what’s so special about the name one is given anyways? Let’s take a walk down “memory lane”… In the beginning, what did a name signify? A name signified the nature/essence of the thing being named! And so Adam, in paradise, gave the animals names in accordance with their being. Among the Jews, God's name expressed His essence, Yahweh (YHWH) , means: I (alone) Am Who Am (and cause all else to be) . The Jews had the highest respect for the name of God, a reverence that finds continuation in the Our Father: "Hallowed be Thy Name." Persons who played prominent roles in the history of salvation often received their names from God Himself. ·          Adam — man of the earth; ·     ...

January 2013 LMPS!!!

Hi darling ladies, Happy New Year again! Thanks be to God for keeping us all thus far. In Philippians 2, we are told, "At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." From the earliest days of Christianity, Christians have known the great power of Jesus' Holy Name. As the popular hymn commands: All hail the pow'r of Jesus' Name! Let angels prostrate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all... In our society today, we hear the His Name uttered but all too frequently it is as a curse or blasphemy or exclamation! When we hear the name of JESUS, what is our reaction? Does it move us? Do we say something loving to Him? If it is used in a negative manner, do we immediately try to counteract it with positive thoughts and silent prayers? How conscious are we of the way we us...

Happy New Year!!!

Hi ladies, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Just a lil' note to start the year off with.... LMPS 2013 Theme: New Year, New Struggle Christianity is not a destination, it is a journey. A journey that starts with acknowledging God as our reason for being, embracing Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and accepting the Holy Spirit as our constant Helper and Teacher. This is the second day of the first month of the year; new year resolutions are being written in full force (or have been written); everyone wants to have changed immediately the clocks struck midnight marking the start of the new year! But as our Christianity isn't a destination, so also the new year doesn't signify an instant new life! We need to remember this if we want to last in any of our resolutions! Let our "mantra" for 2013 be "New Year, New Struggle" What does this mean? It means that every second if every day, we are struggling to embrace virtue and shun vice. We may fail some days but we...
