Happy New Year!!!
Hi ladies,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Just a lil' note to start the year off with....
LMPS 2013 Theme: New Year, New Struggle
Christianity is not a destination, it is a journey. A journey that starts with acknowledging God as our reason for being, embracing Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and accepting the Holy Spirit as our constant Helper and Teacher.
This is the second day of the first month of the year; new year resolutions are being written in full force (or have been written); everyone wants to have changed immediately the clocks struck midnight marking the start of the new year!
But as our Christianity isn't a destination, so also the new year doesn't signify an instant new life! We need to remember this if we want to last in any of our resolutions!
Let our "mantra" for 2013 be "New Year, New Struggle"
What does this mean? It means that every second if every day, we are struggling to embrace virtue and shun vice. We may fail some days but we should get up and boldly proclaim (a 100 times a day if we have to): Now, I begin again!
Bad habits take a while to form... How much more good habits? Be patient with yourself, take things a day at a time - God's grace will not fail you!

Live coherent lives - be the same person everywhere and with everyone
Form Christian practices - learn how to truly love and care for those around you
Be creative about how you bring the message of Christ to others while respecting their freedom, privacy and opinions at all times
This year, we want to go on a journey starting today, January 2 2013! We want to read a bit of the Bible each day together - the passage for the day will be shared on facebook, our blog, email and twitter! (We may not read the entire Bible, although we encourage everyone to take out a Bible Reading Plan... It could be 1 year, 2 years or even 3 years! But just make sure you're getting a regular dosage of God's Word!)
We're also restarting our blog: thelmps.blogspot.com Please check it out! We also welcome suggestions on topics you'd like us to address as well as contributions from you!
Psalm 5 verses 4-6 give a vivid description of what God despises - wrongdoing, evil, pride, wickedness, liars, violence etc... But verse 7 provides us with a wonderful consolation: because of God's great love, we the LMPS ladies, individually and collectively, can go into the house of God, worship in His holy place and bow down to Him in reverence...
So, how do we begin this journey afresh?
Isaiah 1: 18 - settle the "matter" once and for all. Firmly decide to do all that you can, relying strongly on God's grace, to shun evil and embrace good!
Isaiah 1: 19; Isaiah 2:5; Isaiah 3:10 all speak about obeying God, walking in His ways and enjoying life!
Welcome to 2013 ladies and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
GOD BLESS YOU!
