Bible Study: 1 Samuel Chapter 1

In this first Chapter, Hannah poured out her soul before the Lord passionately,  in silent prayer. Who or what is on your heart today that needs fervent prayers? After your Bible reading today, pause and silently lay your requests before the Lord.

---------------------------------------------------------

The Prophet gave Hannah a word of reassurance - "Go in peace". The full verse says "Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee the petition that you have asked of him." When we go into the presence of the Lord in prayer, do we receive that peace of Christ afterwards?  In verse 18, the behaviour of Hannah was vastly different - she started eating again and her entire countenance changed!

There are so may lessons to be learnt from today's Chapter... Trust in God; Leaving our worries with Jesus (v17 & 18); The importance of prayer (v10-13; v19); Aligning our requests with what would positively impact the kingdom (v11); Fulfilling the vows we make to God (v24); Testifying  (v26 - 27) and so much more...

What is Jesus teaching you?
